Thar She Is.... Over 50 feet of Car & Trailer
Below see the 1950 Spartan Royal Mansion (33 Feet) + The 1980 Ford Econoline Van (17 Feet) + my Brother In Law(6 Feet) to show scale. Kinda scary, huh?
Daddy and His Spartan c.1985
So, if you have a hateful 15 year old daughter and her neurotic mother at home, clearly a man should return to his trailer with a vengance. This is the year my Dad "completely rebuilt" the trailer. An aftermarket skylight added to the bathroom had created a water leak and extensive damage. He rebuilt the interior, using the original plywood as templates. He also insulated and put in new screens.

My Dad and Brother c. 1990's
McComb, Illinois. Cute little trailer park. Dad was not sure which trip this was as they visited more than once. Update- Actually Macomb is the correct spelling and the park is Spring Lake Park. My SIL Susan remembered that it was a great deal- I'll say- the current rate for a resident to get a campsite with electrical is $10 a night. In 2011! You also might get lucky and see some cougars. Well, maybe "lucky" is the wrong word....
Pancake Breakfast c. 2002
Spring Break 2002 was the last spin for the Spartan before I moved her in June 2010. My sister and brother-in-law and their kids went for a trip along the Oregon Coast. This shot is looking toward the front of the trailer. Front door on the side behind the chair next to Daddy. Bed in the Observation Lounge.

Hitching Up Oregon Coast c. 1998
Aww, my nephew was so cute. His smile is proof that all kids love the trailer.
